Dr Oluyemisi Bob-Efeovbokhan MBBS
Dr Yemisi completed her MBBS degree in 2007 and commenced fulltime work in general practice the following year.
She relocated to Australia from Lagos in 2010, along with her husband, to pursue a dual Masters’ degree in public health and health management.
She worked briefly in health research, exploring her interest in this area while completing the bridging exams required to commence clinical practice in Australia.
She also completed a Diploma in Child Health during this time.
Her other clinical interests include women's health and psychiatry.
Dr Yemisi loves working in general practice due to the variety and challenge each new patient brings, the opportunity to form lifelong therapeutic relationships with patients and their families that span many generations, and the often lovely, sometimes hilarious people she gets to encounter each day.
She and her husband are blessed with three children, and when they are not hanging out together as a family or with friends, she loves to write, work on craft or play soccer.


Dr Shaikh Wahab MBBS
Dr Wahab has been practising as a GP in Australia since 2011, primarily in the Canberra region. Prior to this he worked in Bangladesh and New Zealand after graduating from Dhaka University in Bangladesh in 1991.
While enjoying all aspects of General Practice, his special interests include general medicine, paediatrics, men’s health, chronic disease and mental health (he worked as a Registrar in the Mental Health Unit at The Canberra Hospital for 6 years).
Dr Wahab also sees occupational health conditions including work related injuries.
Outside of his clinical life, he enjoys, cricket, community and multicultural activities, and travelling
Dr Ahmed Synousi MBBS FRACGP
Dr Synousi has over 15 years of Acute and Emergency medical experience in Australia.
He obtained his medical degree from Cairo University in 2004 and gained his early medical experience serving in Cairo’s busiest and most prestigious public teaching hospitals before migrating to Australia in 2008.
In addition to his work in General Practice, Dr Synousi also works as an Emergency doctor at Queanbeyan Hospital.
When he’s not practicing medicine, he enjoys spending quality time with his 4 kids and wife who is also a doctor. Dr Synousi is also fluent in Arabic.

Dr Sruthi Ambur MBBS DTCD DNB
Originally from India, she worked as a Respiratory Physician in Bangalore before moving to Australia in 2013 along with her family.
In Australia, Sruthi worked for a year at the Launceston General Hospital and then moved to Melbourne. She worked for a year as a Panel physician at Bupa Medical Visa services prior to moving to Canberra.
She loves spending quality time with her children. She also likes watching Indian movies and travelling with her family.

Dr Bo Lee MBBS
Originally from Taiwan, Dr Bo Hanh Lee grew up in the United States and Canada before moving to Australia to study medicine at James Cook University. Since graduating in 2015, he has worked extensively in General Medicine across hospitals in Queensland, NSW, the ACT, Tasmania and Victoria.
In 2024, Dr Lee moved into general practice, bringing broad clinical experience and a strong, patient-centred approach. He has a particular interest in chronic disease management and men’s health, with a focus on prevention and long-term health planning.
Dr Lee is known for his open communication style and aims to build supportive, trusting relationships with his patients. Outside of medicine, he enjoys travelling, time with family and friends, movies and exploring different music genres.
Dr Lee is welcoming new patients at Googong Family Practice.

Dr Upasama Wijesinghe MBBS DCH
Dr Wijesinghe graduated from Sri Lanka in 2007 and has over 10 years of experience working in hospitals and general practice in Sri Lanka before moving to Australia. Since 2022, she has worked at Alice Springs Hospital in the Northern Territory and The Canberra Hospital in the ACT.
Her special interests include child health, women’s health (including reproductive and sexual health and Implanon insertion/removal), chronic disease management and mental health. Dr Wijesinghe has completed the FPAA Certificate in Reproductive & Sexual Health and Diploma in Child Health (DCH).
She is fluent in both English and Sinhala. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, and gardening.

Dr Irum Javed MBBS
Dr Irum Javed is an experienced and compassionate General Practitioner committed to providing holistic and patient-centred care. She has a special interest in women’s health, including reproductive health, contraception with experience in implanon insertion/removal/mirena insertion/ removal, menopause management, and preventive screening.
With extensive experience in chronic disease management, Dr Irum Javed is dedicated to helping patients manage conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma/COPD, and heart disease through long-term, collaborative care. She believes in empowering her patients with knowledge and support to make informed decisions about their health and wellbeing.
Dr Irum Javed provides comprehensive care for patients with joint, muscle, and bone-related issues, focusing on accurate diagnosis, evidence-based treatment, and rehabilitation. She is passionate about helping patients restore function, prevent injury, and maintain an active, healthy lifestyle through a holistic and patient-centred approach. She provides care to patient with work cover injuries.
Dr Javed takes pride in building strong, trusting relationships with her patients and providing a welcoming, supportive environment for individuals and families alike.
Outside of medicine, she enjoys spending time with family, gardening and cooking.

Dr Bhavna Maindiratta MBBS FRACGP Adv DRANZCOG
Dr Bhavna Maindiratta is a GP Obstetrician with a strong focus on women’s health and paediatrics.
She provides comprehensive care for women of all ages and children up to 11 years. Her areas of interest include pregnancy care, contraception, reproductive health, newborn and infant care, childhood development, and general family medicine for women and young children.
Dr Maindiratta’s practice is dedicated to women and children, and she does not see male patients.
